A Harvest of Mercy
by Shawn Patrick Williams
I heard the Holy Spirit say, “I am sending a mercy harvest.” What is currently taking place
around the four corners of the world is nothing less than God’s divine mercy, before His divine
judgment is released upon the earth. We cannot ignore the timing of this release of
God’s Spirit. While also at the same time see that all the players in bible prophecy are on the
chess board, getting in place for the great battle at Megiddo. God
is holy and his judgment is coming to the earth. God is also merciful and still has a heart that not one soul be lost.
The word “mercy” derives from the medieval Latin “merced or merces,” which means “price paid.” It has the connotation of forgiveness,
benevolence and kindness. Mercy is often used in a religious context of giving alms, caring for
the sick or the poor. In the legal sense, mercy often refers to compassionate behavior from a person in power, such as when a judge shows
clemency, leniency or mercy during sentencing. God’s mercy and judgment collides and mercy
wins. God is about to move in mercy like we have not seen before.
As the Most High is bringing into alignment nations and people that are sheep and goat
nations, he is separating the wheat and the tares, Matthew 13:24-43. 1 Peter 4:17-18 says
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin
at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous
scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
What is taking place in this current outpouring of the Holy Spirit is God is preparing His church
to receive the largest harvest it has ever seen! He is cleaning and reviving the Body of Christ,
while bringing in a new generation of Joel’s Army.
Three things are being released upon the church during this outpouring. First, a deep
repentance. This repentance goes back to root causes, i.e., trauma points and heart wounds.
The Holy Spirit is getting very detailed in identification repentance in this hour. Second,
there is fresh oil being released through new believers receiving the baptism of the Holy
Spirit and the older believers being refreshed by this fresh oil. Third, a mass movement of
deliverance is taking place across the earth. This is preparing and purifying the Bride with a
spirit of burning. As you look at the current revivals, these are the main traits.
Why is this revival taking place?
Acts 1:8 NLT says
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And
you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout
Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
The main purpose of the Holy Spirit is not just to prophesy, or speak in an unknown
tongue. Signs and wonders follow believers as we follow Jesus. The main purpose of the Holy
Spirit is to empower the church to be a witness!
This river is flowing from the mercy seat out through the Throne room into the streets of
gold and out into the rivers of heaven. These rivers flow from heaven to earth. And out of our
bellies. Everywhere a believer is, there is potential for revival.
John 7:38 “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
As this river increases throughout the nations, this mercy harvest will touch regions, nations
and peoples that were though unreachable. This mercy harvest will bring in the largest
revival and numerical amount of souls the church has ever seen. Mercy is being released
in this hour. The heart of the Father is torn to see His kids, but broken because of rejection of
His grace. Mercy will triumph.
A Note from Christy…
“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the
word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to
another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the
working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different
kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues…” I Corinthians 12:7-10 (NKJV).
In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul teaches that the Holy Spirit gives diverse spiritual gifts to believers for
the common good. These gifts – such as wisdom, healing, and prophecy are expressions of God’s
grace. Paul stresses that every gift is important, whether seen or unseen. Their purpose is to build
up the body of Christ. This foundation shapes how the church understands unity and service.
Using the metaphor of the human body, Paul explains that just as each body part has a unique
role, every believer contributes something essential. No member is self-sufficient or
insignificant. This interdependence fosters humility, cooperation, and shared mission within a
body, ultimately seen with the Body. When each person uses their gift with the right heart, the
Church thrives. Paul’s imagery highlights God’s intentional design for collective strength.
I Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) says “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of
these is love.” Paul shifts the focus from the gifts themselves to the spirit in which they are used. He
warns that even the most impressive gifts are empty without love. Tongues, prophecy, knowledge, and even sacrificial acts lose their
value when separated from Christlike compassion, Jesus’ nature. Spiritual gifts are
powerful but temporary. Love, by contrast, is eternal and indispensable.
Paul describes love as patient, kind, humble, and steadfast – qualities that prevent division and misuse of gifts. Love sets
the tone for Christian service and keeps the church aligned with Christ’s character. It protects,
trusts, hopes, and perseveres, enabling believers to use their gifts in a way that reflects God’s heart
and nature. In this way, love governs ministry. It is the environment in which spiritual gifts bear their
richest and most impactful fruit.
Paul concludes by linking love with faith and hope, naming these three as enduring virtues. Faith
anchors believers in who God is, and hope points them toward God’s future fulfillment. Yet love
stands above them because it reflects God’s eternal nature. While spiritual gifts will eventually
cease, faith, hope, and especially love remain. Together, these chapters call the church to pursue
both the Spirit’s gifts and the supremacy of love.
