The Power of a Gospel Seed!

Most people immediately think about financial context when you hear the title of sowing seed is mentioned. While I wholly believe in the spiritual concept of seed time and harvest and live by it, I I want you to get a hold of something deeper today. It will give you the ability to change situations and lives for Jesus like you would have never imagined.

“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter and day and night will never cease.” Genesis 8:22

This principle will be around as long as the earth and humans exists. We should understand the gravity it has in our lives. To ignore it would be a travesty for the follower of Jesus.

The Sower soweth the Word. Mark 4:14

This parable gives us the picture of how a person hears and receives the gospel. You heard about it from someone. Someone told you about the cross, heaven, hell, healing, deliverance, kingdom economics, rewards, stewardship, ETC.  Someone planted that seed into your operating system at some point.

“I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” I Corinthians 3:6

One man plants and another waters, but the Holy Spirit is the One bringing the increase. We all get a chance to rejoice in this kingdom endeavor. Be faithful to share the word of God to those around you. You may plant the seed, water the process, or even lead someone to the Lord. Your seed will have a harvest at some point. Sow good seed. I have had a harvest come back to me years later from the seed of a revival, TV interview, book written, mission trip, moments of witnessing and more. We have 1000’s of testimonies from sowing seeds of the gospel.

Make up your mind to be a seed Sower. Look for opportunities to plant seed. There is a powerful book called One Heart at a Time by H. Mack Ballard. I highly recommend reading this book! I made up my mind to sow into each one of my kids a mission trip to a Third World nation, as soon as they graduated and were thinking about what to do with their life. This is a critical moment in a person’s life. I took my oldest girl to India, and I am taking my youngest to Ghana West Africa in September with my wife. I am planting a mission seed into their purpose.

From 2007- 2011 my kids sent toys to this church in Ghana as a Toys to Africa mission. She will see how the power of those seeds sown into now teens have affected this fishing village in Tema. Please keep this trip in prayer, as well as, mission to Isreal October 5^th-11^th. I believe these trips will be life changing. The Israel trip will have one of the largest prayer events in history taking place.

Thank you for sowing seed into this ministry to preach the gospel to the nations. Every prayer, letter and gift is greatly appreciated and used to carry out this great commission we have.
