Prayer Covering by Shawn Patrick Williams
Prayer Covering by Shawn Patrick Williams
Since 1998, I have been praying for people who are connected to me. I believe God’s word about the
power of prayer. I started first with prayers for family and friends. As we started in ministry, the prayers
grew broader to my church family and people who stood with us on our kingdom assignment. Because
you are receiving this letter, you are one of those people. This is the strategy the Lord gave me to pray for you.
I pray your life will be grounded in the Great Commission. This is the main mission of the Body of Christ. Everything we do centers around Jesus’ command to go into all the world sharing the Gospel. Some go and some sow, but it’s all
connected to the harvest. No matter what your capacity gifts and functions are, we all have a commission to GO. Yours may be through daily life interactions and relationships. Some may have a more traditional role of carrying out the great commission, but if your life is centered on that truth, the rest of life will work out.
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His purpose.“
I pray divine protection over your life. The blood of Jesus not only has redeeming power, but has
protecting power. Just as Israel put the blood of the lamb over their door post to be hidden from the
death angel, I pray the blood of Jesus over the door post of your heart and house. Isaiah 54:17, “No
weapon formed against you shall prosper.” And I pray this over your life and family. I pray for you to live a spirit filled and spirit led life. If you are doing this, you will go where you need to go and have what you need to have for life!
I John 4:4 says, “Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are
led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” I pray for you to walk in the fullness of the fruitfulness of the covenant. I pray this over your mind, health, finances, relationships and calling.
3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as your
soul prospers.” I end prayer time by releasing the blessing of the Lord over every area of your life. I pray for you that you and yours will be wholly complete, with nothing missing or lacking.
